Reno sits in a high desert basin where Washoe County residents deal with real seasonal swings — dry summer heat that can top 95 degrees, gusty spring winds off the Sierra, and winter cold that dips well below freezing. That kind of temperature and wind stress is hard on window screens. Frames expand and contract, mesh stretches or tears from blowing debris, and older aluminum-frame screens common in Reno's mid-century and 1970s-80s tract homes start to sag or pop out of their tracks. Once a screen is torn or ill-fitting, dust from windy days gets pulled indoors, bugs find their way in during warmer months, and homeowners lose some of the passive cooling a good screen provides — which can nudge energy bills up. We repair and replace window screens throughout Washoe County, from central Reno neighborhoods out toward Sparks and the surrounding valley, with an average response time of 48 minutes for service calls. Whether you need a single re-mesh, a full set of custom-fit replacement screens for a newer build, or solar screens to cut summer glare on west-facing windows, our crews carry Nevada state windows licensing and work efficiently on-site. We size and cut screens to match your exact window frames rather than using generic stock sizes, which matters in a market with a wide mix of home ages and window brands.

How much does window screen repair or replacement cost in Reno?
Cost depends on factors like the number of windows, screen size, frame material, mesh type (standard, solar, or pet-resistant), and how accessible the windows are. A single small repair costs less than replacing several custom-fit screens on a two-story home. Because every job varies, we provide a free, no-obligation quote after taking a quick look at your windows or hearing details over the phone.
How fast can someone come out to fix a screen in Reno?
Our average response time across Washoe County is about 48 minutes from when you contact us. Actual arrival can vary a bit depending on your location and the day's schedule, but we prioritize quick turnaround, especially for screens letting in bugs or dust.
Are your technicians licensed to work on windows and screens in Nevada?
Yes, our work is covered under Nevada state windows licensing, which applies to screen repair and replacement work performed in Reno and the rest of Washoe County.
What areas around Reno do you serve?
We cover Washoe County, including Reno and out to Sparks. If you're near the edge of our normal service radius, contact us and we can confirm coverage for your address.
What are the most common screen problems you see in Reno homes?
Wind-driven wear is the big one here — mesh stretches or tears, aluminum frames loosen or bow, and screens pop out of their tracks after repeated gusts and temperature swings. We also see a fair amount of sun-faded or brittle mesh on south- and west-facing windows, plus pet-damaged screens on ground-floor windows and sliding doors.
Can you come out at night or for an urgent screen repair?
We handle urgent requests when a screen failure is letting in insects, dust, or affecting a door or window's security. Call to describe the situation and we'll let you know the soonest available time, including evening options when possible.
